Samuel,
This morning as I was waking up I dreamed I could hear you out in the living room talking to Phillip. I came out and you had come home early for Maggie’s wedding! We were so excited to see you!

Then I woke up…..

We’ll be excited to see you whenever you get here! And we’ll miss you this weekend.

Phillip is at Truman State enjoying Ultimate Frisbee as well….though I doubt if he’ll ever play in a national tournament.

Hey Sam, sorry it took me a while to read this blog but theres so much in it, so many different scenes and information it’s hard to conceptualize everything you describe. But you have given us a real gift in journaling your experience. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Its our pleasure to read. I’m soo glad you got to dive the Barrier Reef. Thats amazing. Also the man with the penguins and all of that is truly remarkable. Its a pretty poignant line when you say you got to meet the man who will save those unique pinguins. Sammy, Sammy –
What an adventure! I was laughing out loud – especially the part about the noisy kids. I remember begging you to be quiet for just 5 minutes so I could take a really quick catnap. Payback is great! Just wait until they are your own kids!
I’m so glad you were able to connect with your buds. I was a little concerned about that, but sounds like you had it all under control….yeah, right! Hope you made it home safely. I am still waiting for my “before you leave Australia to go to New Zealand” call!
I loved the ecard! Sam, the man, falling at 12000 feet. Who would have ever guessed it!!!??? I can’t wait to hear more…

No offense, but I couldn’t help but snicker at all your bad luck! How many bad things can happen to a person in 24 hours? I can’t wait to read “New Zealand Part 2″. YOu and Luke both left us all in suspense. That must have been a conspiracy. It’s actually late on the 16th now here in the States, so I suppose you’re back “home” in Australia. Hope things have calmed down as far as mishaps go….ie, no more roadkill. Better a bird than a cow.

Hang in there, Sam. You can take care of this really hard week….especially in light of the fact that you have two weeks of spring break coming up, one of which will be spent in New Zealand. I think you can endure anything for that reward! Now, for the sky diving and bungee jumping…..you had better think twice or three times before you decide.
